The 3.0-liter flat-six was sourced from a 1983 911SC and was rebuilt with 964 C2-spec cams by GD Racing in San Bruno, California, in 2012. The engine is also said to feature MSD ignition and NGK spark plugs as well as stainless-steel headers, a hydraulic chain tensioner, and a front-mounted oil cooler
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle.
The clutch was replaced in 2012, when a lightweight RSR aluminum flywheel and a replacement fifth-gear synchro were also installed.
